Namuddu follows the story of an orphaned girl who fights against all odds to claim her land inheritance from her wicked stepmother. Since it premiered on Maisha Magic Movies, everyone hasn't been able to stop talking about the drama, thrills and of course, the brilliant performance of the actors. For this reason, this serves as an appreciation write up for the cast and crew of this amazing drama-filled movie.

CISSY NALUMANSI - WRITER AND DIRECTOR.
Cissy Nalumansi is a multi-disciplinary, passionate story teller based in Kampala Uganda. Her passion for storytelling through Script writing, Producing and Directing is dipped in her immeasurably unwavering desire to tell authentic, well sculpted African stories from the African perspective. With Africa's growing creative industry and the skills she has attained overtime from working on various creative projects, she is determined to change the narrative of African stories, one story at a time. Cissy's career in film making sparked off when she won a one year fully funded film making training at the Multichoice talent factory. Upon graduation, she was awarded a fully paid internship experience at Africa Magic in Nigeria. She holds a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Makerere University but her passion for storytelling stole her away.
Gloria Catherine Namboozo - NAMUDDU
Gloria Catherine Nambozo made her acting debut in the hit series “The Hostel Season 4” in 2014. She has since appeared in Television series as a lead actor including Yat Madit and Mama & Me where T.V fans may recognise her. She has also made appearances in the short film, “Kyenvu” as Supporting cast, comedy series, “Mzigo Express” as supporting cast and 2020 TV commercial, “Now it’s your turn” for JICA Uganda in the fight against Covid 19.
Namuddu is the first full length film that Nambozo is featuring in where she worked alongside award winning director Cissy Nalumansi. She has also worked with different award winning directors that have moulded her career; Angie Emurwon, Aganza Kisaka, Davidson Mugume, Kennedy Kihiray, to mention but a few.
With the few years of acting experience and amazing projects she has journeyed through, it is just the genesis of a journey!
Guided by her thirst for sharing more African stories, She has been a part of ENSULO (Award winning), PROMISES(Award Winning film), THE INNER WAR, THE VILLAGE CHAMPION, DON'T DARE TOUCH, THIS PHONE ERA, as a Writer and or Director and Sound Track Artist. She now owns a Film Production Company called "Jungle rains Productions".
Faridah Nabagereka - SIFA
PROFILE: Faridah Nabagereka Actor and Commercial Model featuring in TV commercials such as Equity Bank advert and working with Film Production houses such as Trendzstudios, Bishfilms, Nabwisofilms, loukman Ali,Ciss Nalumansi,magezifilms in a various number of roles.
Riverdan Rugaju - KYALIMPA SSONKO
River Dan Rugaju is a Ugandan actor known for his television debut role as Ojangole in the drama series YAT MADIT aired on NTV Uganda in 2016. Shortly after, Rugaju combined his acting ability and fluent French skills to land a French speaking role as Capitaine in La Miséricorde de la Jungle (2018), a Neon Rouge war thriller directed by Joel Karekezi. Rugaju plays Josh Walusimbi in Loukman Ali's 2020 Netflix release The Girl in the Yellow Jumper. He also portrays Topher Agaba in the Ugandan guerilla war biopic 27 GUNS (2018), and Dr. Sky Kashaka in Savannah MOON’s MELA (2019). In 2017 at Theatre in the Park, Harare Zimbabwe, Rugaju played double roles as White American Cop and White American Journalist in BLOOD - a published modern day adaptation of the classic African American playwright Lorraine Hansberry’s Les Blancs, as written and directed by Prince Claus Laureate, Adong L. Judith.
Rugaju holds a Degree in Education with French majors from Makerere University, a professional skillset that he continues to utilize as an actor, recently landing a French voiceover job for a public speaking training workshop video with Quad-A Studios. He is also an amateur music composer, loves to sing and plays musical instruments including the piano, adungu and the trumpet.
Kajubi Samil - MUKUYE.
PROFILE: Kajubi Samil, a 10yr old Screen, Stage and Vixen actor has featured in films like. Countless misfortunes by Amakka productions as an extra, Catch out by Kyooto media in a supporting role. Idil by azihur production house in a supporting role. Hebrews 13 by media562 in a supporting role. Untilted by Badmama JAMA in a supporting role. All of we by The Alied Brothers as an extra. Then in music video like. Bamama ba Africa by Gibson Fitting on YouTube. Then Dembe Lyange by Walulya Mike also on YouTube. Now he comes again in NAMUDDU AS MUKUYE NGULE. Kajubi Samil is fluent in English and Luganda.
MOUREEN NABASUMBA - MUGGA
PROFILE: MOUREEN NABASUMBA is an actress and a makeup artist( SFX and beauty), she's been part of projects like mistakes gals do tv series, Monica. Moureen also acted a lead role in the movie called Lailah and this scooped her an award nomination for best actress in the Uganda film festival 2019.
WILSON EGESSA - BONGOLE
PROFILE: Wilson Egessa started his film acting career under Maishafilmlab then he appeared in a film known as Imbabazi the Pardon where he acted as Karemera,since then he has featured in a number of projects such as Facing North (Bukikakono), .Loving Tyra (Joseph 2018), Mama and Me ( Mr Juma 2020), Letter to my Daughter (Board member 2021), Your Turn ( Manager Galabuzi 2021), FootWine (Village broker 2021), Imbabazi The Pardon (Karemera 2010). Wilson Egessa has also ventured into voice over acting such as usaalam project by Wizarts foundation.
